The UMass/Boston Faculty governance collection consists of records from the university's governing bodies of faculty, and spans many changes of name and scope. The collection includes records from the Faculty Senate, College I Senate, College II Senate, University Senate, University Assembly, College of Arts and Sciences Senate, and Faculty Council. The records include minutes, agenda, reports, proposals, and some audiotapes of meetings. There are also constitutions and material from general faculty meetings. This collection documents the issues that have confronted the university and the faculty, and changes in the make-up, purpose, and powers of the faculty bodies. Because these records are not from official files, they are quite incomplete.
